Special Eggnog + Snowballs = Winter Veil

Snowmen Greatfather Winter is in Ironforge! It’s the Feast of Great-Winter and all of the World of Warcraft is decorated for the holiday. I received a stack of light leather from Greatfather Winter and also made some gingerbread cookies along with eggnog (the special kind :) ). You can also buy snowballs from Greatfather Winter’s goblin helpers! It’s hard to walk five feet in Ironforge without being smacked by a large white puff of snow (especially around Ohsnap). If you complete a Holiday quest somehow you can turn into a snowman. Ohsnap and I were curious so we left Ironforge for the snowy peaks of Alterac Mountains in search of the missing Feast of Winter Veil treats.

Dalaran Alterac Mountains are North of the Wetlands and I had not traveled that far North yet, so I did not have the flight paths, we had to walk. :( Along the way we ran across a sight that is hard to describe. There was a huge blue dome in an area known as Dalaran. A shield of some sort, I couldn’t tell if it was meant to block us from entering or to prevent something inside from leaving, or both. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention Ohsnap ran into a patrol of undead along the road and was promptly ganked! Haha! So much for Paladin power! Ok, back to the story. Actually there isn’t much left to tell, we fought a bunch of ogres but were not successful in locating the lost treats. I did find a couple veins of Mithril among the ogre camps! Ohsnap and I called it a night and hearthstoned back to Ironforge.

Big Booty

The entrance to Booty Bay Ding, 34! I would have to say one of my favorite places so far in the World of Warcraft is Booty Bay. It’s run by the neutral race of goblins so both the Alliance and Horde visit. The entrance to Booty Bay is reminiscent of the Storybook Land attraction at Disneyland where you ride the boat through the mouth of a whale. Booty Bay is constructed of old hulls of ships, driftwood, tied together with rigging, complete with a pirate flag and giant shark, makes for a fun place to explore. It is also a stop on the way to the Cross Roads where many Horde and Alliance battles take place, so I will be back!

Hogit takes on Stitches While making my way to Stranglethorn through Darkshire I heard the nightwatch’s shout “Beware! A threat lurks in the wild!” An almost hourly occurrence, and only means one thing, Stitches. Stitches is the pride and joy of the embalmer, an abomination of mismatched body parts sewn together with metal and thread. Nia and I usually run when we see the beast lumbering down the path to town, but this night I would stand my ground! “DARKSHIRE I HUNGER!” A few other adventurers had chosen the same fate as I and waited as Stitches approached. I switched into defensive stance raised my sword and shield and led the attack! Good teamwork paid off in the end and we were victorious, Stitches fell and everyone cheered! “The beast is slain! The town of Darkshire is saved!”

I’ll Cut You!

New big sword A metalsmithing recipe for an auction at the AH was about to close so I bid and I won! Say hello to my Moonsteel Broadsword! Ohsnap says maybe I will have a chance in PvP. I don’t know about that, but at least it looks cool! I could swear it glows blue in the moon light. It’s definately a candidate for an enchantment, maybe one that really makes it glow blue.
