Return To Zul’Farrak

Zul'Farrak group My quests in Zul’Farrak continued today with a fun group I met up with in Tanaris. One priest, a hunter, mage, paladin and I entered the instance with high hopes, most of which were met. We collected scarab shells, troll temper, and the tiara. The highlight was killing Gahz’rilla, a huge three headed serpent summoned with the troll’s sacred mallet. It is no a coincidence that Gahz’rilla is actually fairly easy (ok really easy :P), we had previously attempted to finish the divino-matic rod quest but did not succeed. We lasted a while but were eventually overwhelmed by the trolls ascending the stairs. Everyone seemed to get a fair share of drops and left happy, much happier than the last group I was with in Zul’Farrak. :D

Adventures With Ballman

Un'Goro Crater If you have seen the South Park episode in which Butters becomes “boy with balls on chin” to get on the Maury talk show, then you are already familiar with Ballman. I met Ballman while on my way through Theramore Island. He asked for help with a quest that was on the way to my destination so I obliged of course (Friendly Fisherman Guild ya know). Afterwards I teamed up with Ballman to help him with his whirlwind warrior quest. During our mass slaughter of elementals, I sighted the 44 elite green giant that roams around the Arathi Highlands. I immediately charged and slayed the beast… yes it was that EASY, just ask anyone! :P

Crater Craziness

Un'Goro Crater In an attempt to raise my armorsmithing skill (currently 275) I have been farming Un’Goro Crater for Thorium. I had finally found a couple Thorium recipes, the belt and bracers. They are excellent plans to grind on because they only require Thorium and easy to acquire power crystals that respawn quickly all over. Un’Goro Crater is west of Tanaris, and is reminiscent of Jurassic Park surrounding a glowing volcano (impact site?). Sheer cliffs surround the crater (I guess that’s why it’s called a crater :P) and one path in the South allows access from Tanaris, unless you don’t mind a little cliff jumping… that is usually how I make my entrance.

Devilsaur Half of the crater is level 48-50 creatures and the other have is 55+. As long as you have a mount the only ones you need to keep an eye out for are the Devilsaurs. These giant lizards are World of Warcaft’s T-Rex, and they act the part. I got a little too close while taking a screenshot and was run down by one, kicked off my mount and launched into the air, though I was able to escape with a sliver of life. Too bad Nia can’t train one of these bad boys ;).
