Hogit's Story

Kamikaze Krabatah

after Krabatah's sacrifice I guess Paladins aren’t all bad! I had the pleasure of running Blackrock Depths with a true team player. For reasons I won’t go into detail our adventure in Blackrock had taken a turn for the worse. Our team was divided; Elessedil, Krabatah and I stood at the entrance to the hall leading to the Black Anvil, and the other members of our team were stuck behind respawn. I had earlier discovered the plans for Dark Iron Shoulders and had just enough Dark Iron bars left from the Black Forge. Eight fire elementals and Lord Incendius stood between the Black Anvil and us. Could we clear the way? If we failed there would be no second chances. The answer was staring me right in the face, and his name was Krabatah the Paladin.

Elessedil needs a drink Hogit explained his plan to the other two members and Krabatah knew exactly what to do. I then witnessed one of the most selfless acts someone can make, the act of self sacrifice. Krabatah snuck down the hall with Hogit in tow passed the first two sets of fire elementals. When the hall narrowed the last two pairs of elementals spotted the Paladin who then began to charge Incendius! While the Paladin gathered their attention Hogit ran passed, stepped up to the Dark Anvil and with his hammer began to craft. Krabatah held ten elite fire elementals and Incendius for what seemed an eternity. When the Paladin heroically fell, Hogit had just enough time to finish crafting, drink a six second invulnerability potion and run to the end of the hall where he would die only to be resurrected by Elessedil standing just beyond. The plan worked and we celebrated dwarven style by getting drunk in Ironforge!

Thank you Krabatah!

Hogit's Story

The Black Forge

smelting Dark Iron One of Hogit’s goals has been to work with Dark Iron and he finally got that chance. With another Blackrock Depths group he fought his way to the Black Forge: through the Manufactory, passed the Grim Guzzler bar, next into the Chamber of Enchantment with Ambassador Flamelash, followed by Panzor the Invincible a rare spawn in the Mold Foundry, then into the Summoner’s Tomb waking the Seven Ghosts, and finally to the Black Forge. The Black Forge is at the end of a winding path that leads over a lake of lava. Twenty-six bars of Dark Iron were smelted and the group backtracked to the Black Anvil.

crafting Dark Iron at the Black Anvil The Black Anvil is center in Blackrock Depths and guarded by Lord Incendius. Pairs of fire elementals line the hall to the anvil, which sits on a raised platform surrounded by molten lava. Incendius has a few knock backs but other then that is simply a single pull encounter. When he fell the group gathered around the anvil. I drew my smithing hammer and struck my first Dark Iron Plate piece.

The Behemoth

fighting the Behemoth Well Hogit is guildless again. Officers and members alike for reasons unknown basically abandoned the Eternals (AKA the new Enlightened Exiles). Hogit held out till the numbers dwindled from over forty to near seven, but in the end the choice to leave was obvious. While scouting Blackrock Depths under his new solo designation Hogit came upon a rare spawn, the Behemoth. Like Hogit, the Behemoth was wandering the Blackrock Quarry with unknown intentions. Where to go? What to do? All questions Hogit needed answered, but only after kicking the Behemoth’s butt.
