Hogit’s first stop on this expedition would be in Azshara. The Gnome Engineer Jubie Gadgetspring sells a Deepdive Helmet Engineering schematic that would prove vital to hunting the Jaguar Shark. Hogit used his Dimensional Ripper – Everlook to port to Everlook, then a short Hippogryph flight, followed by a ride on his ram to the Azshara coast. Fortunately the schematic was in stock and he quickly ported back to Ironforge to craft the Deepdive Helmet.
During his short stay in Azshara Hogit stopped long enough to fish some interesting specimens from the water. From left to right: an Aggressive Chameleon Fish; a Purple Sunset Fish, a Blue Smurf Fish, two Bronze Ingot Fish, another Blue Smurf Fish, and a second Purple Sunset Fish. Chameleon Fish are common enough in these waters, but an Aggressive Chameleon Fish is a rare find! Studies were cut short when a patrol of hungry Murlocs ran off with the specimens.
The Gnomish technology in the Deepdive Helmet allows underwater breathing for a unlimited amount of time. The Jaguar Shark would not be able to hide from this extreme angling equipped Dwarf. He started his search back at Nat Pagle’s island. The last Pagle had seen of the Jaguar Shark was while extreme angling off the boat to Theramore. The docks offer an environment suitable for Jaguar Shark so the search would begin there.
With his Deepdive Helmet and Birthday suit on Hogit dived into the water and descended to the ocean floor. Amidst the pylons small schools of fish swam around but no sign of a shark. He would need to attract the Jaguar Shark into these more shallow waters. Hogit swam back to the surface and used a technique he learned from the Night Elf Cornpo. He began to thrash wildly in the waves and scream like a woman, this would no doubt bring any aggressive creatures forth. Soon enough a dark shadow was seen circling below. Hogit plunged under the water and grabbed for his spear gun… that he had left on the beach! When he returned to the water with weapon in hand the shark had vanished. Next time the Jaguar Shark would not be so lucky!
