Hogit's Story

The War of the Shifting Sands

Hogit killing bugs Over a thousand years have passed since the ancient Qiraji were barricaded deep within Silithus. Still their reach extends beyond the Scarab Wall driving the Silithid infestation that has spread across Azeroth. The time has come to finish what was started; the War of the Shifting Sands has begun again. Horde and Alliance have been collecting supplies to fuel the war effort and slaughtering Silithid bugs by the thousands. If enough bugs were killed perhaps the Bronze Dragonflight’s faith in us would be restored.

Lornath meets with Anachronos Ilterendi guild was spearheading the Silithus bug slaughter and had chosen one of their own; Lornath would be our ambassador to the Bronze Dragonflight and speak with Anachronos. Elessedil, Cornpo, and I partied with various Arsenal Team members and joined raid groups with Ilterendi. Thanks to all the guilds and players who participated and the huge effort by Ilterendi Lornath reached Neutral status with the Bronze Dragonflight. At the Caverns of Time in Tanaris, Anachronos sent Lornath back to Silithus to witness a vision of the past and learn more about The Scepter of the Shifting Sands; the destroyed ancient artifact would need to be remade to open the Scarab Wall and begin the war.

Hogit and the Silvermoon server Back in Silithus a crowd (ok more like a mob) had gathered to witness the history of the Scarab Wall. After Kalimdor crashed and restarted, Lornath began the event and the following is what I witnessed. Ghostly visions of Silithus bugs spawned with Qiraji who I think were attacking them, while a bronze and blue dragon appeared in the sky apparently mounted one on top of the other and eventually flew away. An Elf of some importance was yelling something but was drowned by spam and eventually eaten by the lag monster. The visions despawned and the area in front of the Scarab Wall erupted with PvP skirmishes. War had definitely begun.
