Hogit's Story

Naxxramas With Ilterendi

Hogit with Ilterendi in Naxxramas Since leaving Arsenal Team Hogit had applied and was accepted to the guild Ilterendi. Both Cornpo and Elessedil were already members so the decision to move there was pretty easy. Ilterendi has been hitting Naxxramas hard and Hogit was there for their first Grand Widow Faerlina kill; having previously downed Anub’Rekhan and Instructor Razuvious this was Ilterendi’s third kill in the necropolis.

Hogit at the Icebellow Anvil The Naxxramas instance is separated into four wings and a final lair. Each encounter seems carefully designed, and if the rest of the instance scales well Naxxramas will be one of the more enjoyable raids. The atmosphere of the lich king’s lair makes for some fun exploration. The Icebellow Anvil is on the way through the deathknight wing and is where most of the frost resistance gear will be crafted. The anvil is adorned with skulls and the dual forge looks surprisingly cold compared to the heat of the Black Forge. I look forward to hammering out some armor there in the future.

Hogit and Maexxna down Ilterendi recently completed the spider wing beginning with Anub’rekhan, then Grand Widow Faerlina, and finally leading to Maexxna. The spider lurks in a bottomless room with a huge web spun from the floor to ceiling. Maexxna has a number of abilities but the best is when she randomly webs people to the wall with a sticky net. Like little spit balls, players are picked up, flung across the room at a far web, and roped into cocoons. It’s the ranged class’s job to destroy the cocoon before you die. Everyone got really good at their responsibilities leading up to downing Maexxna, which turned into a mess after her thirty percent enrage killed mostly everyone except a Paladin and Hunter or two. Paladin DPS -_-z.

Who’s The Boss?

Gri'lek in the Edge of Madness The Edge of Madness is an event in Zul’Gurub with a rotating summon boss. Gri'lek's Charm of Might and the other class trinkets require a drop from each of the four summons: Gri’lek, Renataki, Hazza’rah, and Wushoolay. If you are working on completing your Zul’Gurub class trinket, sometimes it’s hard to remember which summon boss is up. “What Edge of Madness boss is this week?” I created an Edge of Madness Calendar that displays the current summon boss as well as the ability to know upcoming bosses. You can use the available links, search for a specific date, and even queries like “next Wednesday” will work. Have fun and good luck!

Elessedil's Story

Back To The Temple

C'Thun's eye Last night Elessedil went back to the ancient temple of Ahn’Qiraj, there was still some unfinished business for her and her guild inside and this was the night to end it once and for all. The raid headed straight to C’Thun’s outside chamber and everyone prepared to face him once more; nothing was going to stop them now.

Elessedil and dead C'Thun After carefully approaching the doorway making sure the eye did not set its deadly glare upon them, they formed two lines on either side of the entry to its room and waited for the countdown. In an orderly but very swift fashion everyone ran in and started the attack. Everyone played their hardest and after so much effort and dedication, death after death, running back countless times, and hefty repairs bills, Ilterendi brought the mighty god down. C’Thun was no more.

Elessedil with Ilterendi and C'Thun down It’s certainly nice to be part of a server first, but what made everything even better was having Hogit there to share the guild’s victory. Adventure isn’t quite the same without the good old Dwarf Warrior by Elessedil’s side, as it always should be.
