Hogit's Story

Over One Hundred Posts!

Hogit waves hello! Since my first post in December of 2004 I have posted over one hundred times; a total of approximately twenty-four thousand words. I guess that’s only about a short story’s worth, but it’s a lot for a blog about a game. :) While Hogit’s Story may have changed a lot in game, the format of the blog hasn’t changed much. Why do I blog? Hogit’s Story is a way for me to remember the fun times I’ve had in WoW and share them with everyone else through stories and screenshots. No, I’m not leaving! Here’s to another one hundred posts! /cheers

Elessedil's Story

CSI: Azeroth

Hogit killed Elessedil You might remember a certain post not too long ago about how Hogit killed Elessedil, well that was Hogit’s say.

Here I am dead in the snow, that is true enough. How it came to be may not have been explained all that well. Sadly, Dwarves are not known for telling the whole truth like Gnomes and Elves but never fear, here’s my side of it.

Elessedil kicking dwarf behind Here we have exhibit A.

As you can see I have no trouble kicking a Dwarf’s behind. You can clearly see in this screen shot this Hogit stand-in begging for mercy and getting none.

wolves are no match for Elessedil Exhibit B.

A pack of wolves might be too much for someone else but not me. Here I am teaching these flea bags who’s in charge. Ignore the damage numbers of eight clearly the user interface was bugged.

Elessedil is trouble Exhibit C.

This is a clear example of the kind of trouble you might get in when you try and mess with me.

Having looked at the evidence above you might ask yourself, how did Hogit kill you Elessedil?

Hogit and Zephrantes in Coldridge Valley Well, after Hogit massacred the Troggs, innocent bunny rabbits, and prevented more than one low level character from completing their quests in the area he hadn’t had enough. He wanted a piece of yours truly to feed his ego, so I said “Bring it on ugly!”. We dueled and he managed to stun me enough times for me not to heal myself; Hogit won the duel that much is true (making use of his dirty Dorf trickery) but he is no hero, no sir.

Elessedil dead in the snow As I held on to dear life by a thread I felt sharp teeth and claws all over my body, what was this?! The troggs had seen I was weak and went on to finish me. One by one they feasted on my flesh and soon after, I fell dead on the snow. Dead for realz! Did Hogit try to save me you ask? No. He was rolling on the floor laughing at me.

Elessedil's tale I ran back to my body and collected myself, Hogit was no where in sight. I made my way back to the nearest village where I was offered some warmth by a fire. I told my tale to the local Dwarves and they were not happy at all, “That is not the Dwarven way” they said. Hogit had better not show himself around those parts anymore, he might get what’s coming to him.

Hogit's Story

Silithid Of A Different Color

Hogit and different color silithid mounts In the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj there are four ridable mounts available: red, green, blue, and yellow. Some are rarer then others with red being the rarest of them all. In Ilterendi the red silithid mounts are free-for-all to any member who can loot it the fastest. The blue Qiraji battle tanks are more common but still seen less frequently and because of that are the choice of many members who haven’t yet “ninja’d” a red. Personally I like the yellow mount for two reasons: one it is color coordinated with wrath armor, and two because most members have red or blue so the yellow ends up looking less common. Of course if anyone had their pick it would be the Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal which was one of the rewards for the Ahn’Qiraj gate opening. What is your favorite battle tank color?
