Hogit's Story

Progress In Karahzan

Hogit and Elessedil at the Opera House The first week in Karazhan flew by. When you are there make sure to stop by the Opera House and just take a look around. It’s really a cool area and the event itself is one of three plays: Dorothee & Tito, Romulo & Julianne, and The Big Bad Wolf. So far we have done Romulo and the Big Bad Wolf events. Romulo and Julianne are hard but manageable compared to the very easy Big Bad Wolf which is actually quite fun. During the Big Bad Wolf one player is turned into Red Riding Hood and is chased by the wolf.

Were you listening to me, Hogit? Or were you looking at the gnome in the red dress?

Chess master Hogit Another outstanding encounter in Karahzan is the chess event. This life-size chess table has alliance pieces on one side and horde on the other. Each player gains control of one piece and you fight to kill the “king.” We started the event not knowing exactly what to do but ended up winning anyways, it’s very easy and I’ve even heard of some players soloing it.

Ilterendi downs Prince Malchezaar Technically the last boss in Karahzan is Prince Malchezaar at the top of the tower, even though Nightbane is the true end boss but he doesn’t drop any tier gear. The prince drops Tier 4 helms so we made it a point to get him down as soon as we could. After bugging him one night, we all came prepared with consumables this night and downed him on the first try. He hits pretty hard and I would recommend your tank have at least 18k health as a bad crushing can be disastrous.

Hogit's Story

Dwarf In A Box

Hogit and Elessedil in disguise A quest in Shadowmoon Valley had Elessedil and Hogit spy on a legion conversation. Doom Lord Kazzak was giving orders to increase the attacks on the alliance, and we heard all of this from the safety of our box disguises. The demon left the area just in time as our disguise was about to expire. Before he left he asked “what’s in the boxes” and I thought our cover would be blown (literally), but the legion is not very perceptive and ignored us. We mounted up and flew off to complete the next assignment.

Hogit on a nether drake Another popular quest in Nagrand is a flight on a nether drake. Many enjoy the flight because everyone’s first glimpse of flying mounts was the nether drake, but it is not available in the expansion yet. Top teams in the arena will be awarded with armored nether drakes among other rewards, and a quest line will be added in a future patch that leads to a personal nether drake mount.
