My journeys continued into Blackrock Mountain this morning. My goal was to learn to smelt Dark Iron which is taught by one of “The Seven.” I couldn’t go at it alone so I called upon Ohsnap the Paladin! Ohsnap found Hagrar and another Paladin Theboss who also needed to finish questing there. I found a mage (who will remain nameless) to come along for AOE support. We met up at the gates to the mountain and made our way inside. The group worked well because we had enough support healing and Ohsnap saved us from a couple wipes with divine intervention. The Mage’s DPS and AOE was indispensable, his whining about drops was not. 
Because I am still 56 most of the time I took a support tank role and tried not to pull any extra mobs on the group. The final battle was pretty fun because I got to fight a girl! 
I kept the princess busy and far enough away from the Emperor so she could not heal him. The plan worked well and after the Emperor was slain we backtracked to the Black Anvil.
In Blackrock there are about 4-5 Dark Iron nodes. The Dark Iron Ore is smelted in the Black Forge, and Dark Iron items are crafted at the Black Anvil. We mostly made a run straight to the Emperor so I did not hit any nodes for ore but I did get some off of drops.
